From Lawyer to Law Firm

Serving Orlando, Florida

A fractional COO & CFO for Orlando law firm owners.

Orlando is one of the fastest-growing legal markets in the state, and growth has a way of outrunning the systems underneath it. I work one on one with solo and small-firm owners across the Orlando area, running the operations and finance side of the firm so the owner can get back to practicing law.

What a fractional COO & CFO does

Two executive roles, sized to a growing Orlando firm.

In a fast market like Orlando, the pressure is rarely a lack of clients. It is keeping up. New matters arrive faster than the firm can onboard them, the owner is approving every small decision, and the books never quite tell a clear story of what the firm is actually making. A bigger company would hire a chief operating officer to fix the flow and a chief financial officer to read the numbers. A small firm needs both, but not full time.

That is what fractional means. As your fractional COO, I design the systems your firm has outgrown: intake that does not drop leads, case flow that does not depend on the owner remembering everything, and roles that are clear enough for the team to own their work. As your fractional CFO, I get your finances legible, real margins, cash you can forecast, and a defensible plan for owner pay.

It is practical, in-the-weeds work, and it is always one on one. When you call, you get me. No handoffs to a junior account team, no template playbook applied without looking at how your firm really runs.

How I serve Orlando firms

Remote-first from Tampa, in person when it earns its place.

I want to be straight with you about how this works. I am based in Tampa, and I serve Orlando-area firms primarily on a remote-first basis. The large majority of operations and finance work, the reviews, the system builds, the planning sessions, is done just as well over video and shared screens as it would be across a conference table.

When a project genuinely benefits from being in the room, an in-depth team training, a hands-on intake overhaul, a working session that runs better face to face, I travel to Orlando as needed. The drive across I-4 is a manageable one, and I would rather set the expectation honestly than overpromise a constant on-site presence that would not serve you anyway.

What you get either way is the same: one experienced operator who knows your firm, available to you directly. The work does not lose anything for being remote-first. If anything, it keeps the engagement focused on outcomes rather than face time.
